University Advancement offers several ways for current MSU students to grow their skills and gain meaningful experience in philanthropy and engagement jobs.
Advance U is an internship program that matches MSU undergraduate and recently graduated students, who have an interest in philanthropy, with intern positions within University Advancement departments. During the 10-week summer program, interns will work on a special project designed to develop their understanding and experience in higher ed advancement.
MSU Greenline, the voice of annual giving, is our student-run program that employees 150 callers each semester. Each year, Greenline callers talk to over 175,000 MSU alumni, friends, and donors to ask for support of university programs. Working as a Greenline caller helps students develop communication, listening, and problem solving skills.
Each year, University Advancement hires student employees who are assigned to support positions in their area of study. Students gain practical skills towards their future careers and get to experience real life work situations.
