Description
Web Information Technologist will help define business process, system specifications, front-end web development, and provide front-end web support for the University Advancement office. This person will work closely with internal and external, technical and non-technical customers within the University Advancement community, to deliver data and front-end web applications to users to help support the efforts of development and alumni relations at the university.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in one of the following: web design, interactive media, telecommunications, computer science, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience; three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in front-end web development and design.
- Exceptional proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Working knowledge of following is desired: HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, SEO, usability, accessibility, mobile web and cross-browser compatible code. Ability to create or modify user interface graphic elements for web purposes using Photoshop, Fireworks, and Illustrator.
- Basic knowledge of web development language (PHP, ASP.net, Java, or ColdFusion), tools, standards (RSS, SOA, web services, XML, etc), including automation of tasks.
- Additional proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suites is a plus. Candidate should possess a good working knowledge of minimum requirements and/or have an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of terminology and concepts related to the Internet is a must.
