MSU Advancement is seeking an Endowment Integrity Specialist to serve as the unit expert on the creation, review, and evaluation of documentation for new and revised endowments; review of donor intent and the legal, financial and administrative obligations incumbent upon the university

 Serves as the unit expert to University Development staff on the creation, review, and evaluation of documentation for new and revised endowments, including the review of donor intent and the legal, financial and administrative obligations incumbent upon the university.  With support from the Office of the General Counsel, reviews and provides guidance to development directors on specific language to address complicated and unusual circumstances.  Maintains endowment tracking database and maintains agreement storage across multiple platforms.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge equivalent to that which would normally be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in business or a related field; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience office procedures; experience with word processing, database, spreadsheet, presentation software and/or desktop publishing, web page software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of two years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in Microsoft Office products and accounting procedures, monitoring and reporting; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with frequent interruptions; very strong technical abilities; excellent grammatical skills; very strong organizational skills; ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects and/or complex issues.  Experience in planning and executing high-level events and functions; an orientation toward customer service and teamwork; and a proven track record of developing initiatives and processes designed to improve workflow, communication, and productivity.  Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion when communicating sensitive information.
