On Tuesday, April 25, 2017, University Advancement public websites will be undergoing maintenance. Visitors may experience intermittent outages throughout the day.
The work of University Advancement is simple: To move Michigan State University’s excellence forward by enriching its future. By securing support through talent, service, gifts and advocacy, UA will reach its objective of building deep, long-term relationships with alumni and partners—which ultimately builds toward a better tomorrow for MSU. Our talent is an essential element in all that we do, including how we work together to forge relationships and secure support for MSU.
The MSU Alumni Association embodies Michigan State University’s world-grant mission to make the world a better place through collective Spartan power. Through engagement and continuing education, MSUAA fosters lifelong connections with more than 500,000 Spartans around the world.
University Development works to discover the passions of alumni, donors, corporations and friends to raise support for MSU’s vibrant, academic community. Whether supporting students, faculty, research or outreach, donors can make any type of gift—from stocks, property, charitable trusts and so on—to create lasting, transformative change for generations of future Spartans.
Using the latest technologies, Advancement Information Services & Donor Strategy, or AIS-DS for short, manages information to better support engagement and fundraising activities with alumni, donors and friends.
Marketing & Communications is responsible for soliciting annual gifts from alumni and friends, executing strategic alumni and donor events and developing integrated donor communication strategies through the use of print, digital, social and web-based marketing tools. Publications and unique events are produced for the purpose of discovery, cultivation and stewardship. The goal is to create unique opportunities to further engage with donors and friends—all in an effort to move future-focused giving conversations ahead.
