Talent Acquisition Specialist
As the Talent Acquisition Coordinator for University Advancement (UA), you will be responsible for the centralized coordination of all candidate searches across all units within UA. This role involves working closely with the UA Operations team and campus partners within the MSU Human Resources team to ensure a consistent and seamless recruitment process.
Duties and Responsibilities
Project Management:
- Oversee and manage all candidate searches within UA, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all levels of the organization.
- Support search committees by providing necessary resources and guidance on best practices and ensuring they are equipped to conduct effective searches. This role does not include chairing the committees but focuses on facilitating their work.
- Develop and implement standardized search processes, including creating role-based interview question banks, hiring manager toolkits, and ensuring consistent practices and timelines across the organization.
Coordination and Logistics:
- Screen applications to ensure they meet desired qualifications before they are forwarded to search committees. Provide oversight to ensure that this step aligns with overall recruitment strategies.
- Coordinate candidate interview schedules, including virtual and in-person logistics, travel arrangements, and on-site support. Collaborate closely with the Recruiter, HR Director, and Hiring Managers to ensure a smooth process.
- Maintain communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
- Manage all candidate information, feedback materials, and related documents in the applicant tracking system. Ensure accurate and organized record maintenance.
- Work with the Assistant to the AVPO to collect, submit, and reimburse candidate expenses promptly.
- Liaise with Central HR, in collaboration with the HR Director, on talent acquisition, projects, initiatives, and objectives.
Qualifications
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in a human resources area or related field; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible and expansive work experience in a human resources area related to the field of employment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
